Your first visit begins with a detailed assessment to determine the root cause of your condition. Based on this, Dr. Barnett will carefully select and explain the best therapies for you. While there are acupuncture points all over the body, we most commonly use points on the arms and legs below the elbows and knees. Most treatments are done while you are comfortably seated or lying face up on one of our memory foam beds. In fact, most of our patients find their acupuncture session to be the most relaxing part of their day!
Do you accept health insurance or other services?
We do not accept health insurance directly. However, we are happy to provide you with a detailed receipt (superbill) that you can submit to your insurance provider for possible reimbursement.
What does Acupuncture Feel like?
The sensations from acupuncture vary widely from patient to patient and treatment to treatment. Some patients feel absolutely nothing, or a very light pressure. Other patients experience sensations that can range from a dull, achy sensation to tingling or throbbing. These sensations, known as “Da Qi” in Chinese, can be easily adjusted for each patient.
